My First Christmas Party at 2009

I was at The Peninsula Manila last 9 Dec 2009 for Global Gateway and Empire Navigation's Christmas Party for their Seafarers' Families. Party started on the dot at 6pm and yours truly was late due to traffic at Pasong Tamo. Arrived at the hotel at around 630pm.

I love the chosen menu, all were very appetizing. Hmm I did not have rice since I felt a bit heavy that night.

I have to say Empire Navigation was very sweet and generous to us, families. We had raffles and luckily won one of the minor prices (a boxed electric). They also gifted us with basket of goodies, souvenirs and had a picture taking per family with the Greek visitors, the Shipowners.

The event was worth attending, had the chance to meet and chat with other families who seemed not to mind at all that their husbands/dads are onboard for Christmas :), sabi nga nila sanay na sanay na at ganun talaga. Salamat na lang kung dito ng Pasko at Bagong Taon. Ei everyday is Christmas naman. And I personally dont have time to be nostalgic.. Life is Good and Beautiful.. regardless..

Earthiiii Colours

This was taken in our front yard in one early morning, I was almost ready for a walk.

I am very much into earth colour clothes, safe colours I guess for morena like me. So most often I would buy clothes in white, black, brown, blue... white and black again. Although sometimes I do buy tees and dresses in yellow, fuchsia etc.. but never in print since printed clothes are not easy to pair and to repeatedly wear (obvious pag inulit :p)

Mango Flare to Skinny Jeans

Bought a pair of Mango flare jeans without trying it on, which i usually do whenever I Mango-shopped...but wished i should have tried it on, the jeans looked too baggy on me, made me looks smaller and thinner.. so I had it altered to my favourite Mang Chito to make it Skinny Jeans, cost me though Php 150.00 which is super sulit naman. I love how he renovated :) my once baggy-flared pants into sexy-comfy-skinny pants!

Running Free at 0500H

It's 0700H and it is Saturday (just got home, mmm not from a full night out...). Was up at 0440H and started running at 0500H at the back of Mall of Asia (MOA). Unfortunately my sister was too sleepy and she could not join me for our usual weekend run. So I headed to MOA alone. I had to, was not feeling too well last night due to cold. I had a hard time getting myself to sleep. For almost a year, I wonder why cold's virus has gotten into me...ahh could be because I had NO exercise for almost 3 weeks since my left foot was sprained, really exercise is very important to keep our mind and body healthy and strong.

Why do I love running? What has it done to me?

1) ECONOMICAL - it is one of the most inexpensive ways to be healthy, maintain desired weight and tone our body w/out having to spend much.
2) MAKES COFFEE MORE APPETIZING - ei I am such a coffee-addict, IMO having a cup of coffee after running gives more energy :P
3) HEALTHY WAY OF BONDING - it is one way of spending quality time with our loved ones...running while holding hands? running and having a good conversation? making punas the pawis? mmmm...(hahaha hindi si rutti yan, sa bagal kumilos at tumakbo naiwan na!)
4) KEEPS ME AWAY FROM TOO MUCH SLEEPING - it is one very effective motivation to be up early! ey let's face, sometimes too much sleep makes us more lazy and tired (?) yes tired.. to the point of taking for granted things that has to be done in exchange with sleeping.
5) IT IMPROVES ... the runner in so many ways.

There are more too many reasons to mention ... I am so glad I gave running a try and I am hooked! ajah!

Which is Which

Currently, I am considering of giving myself an early Christmas gift. As a matter of fact, I think this will be the first time of gift-giving-for-myself.

Hmm I wanted to reward myself with a mobile phone for being a bit "unusual" for this year.. It's been more than five years since I last bought one since I normally just wait for Smart freebie for postpaid plan holder. Dilemma however, I could not decide yet which to buy, Im contemplating either an N97 or E75, though I kinda know which my heart desires... should i follow my heart? should I go with my compulsive mood? mmm kidding aside.. I heart N97... but practicality speaking my mind is telling me to go with the cheaper one to keep my funds in order.. mmm am I debating with myself hahahah! will I let myself win or let the other side of me prevail?

Still have time for muni-muni....ajah!!!

Coffee Talk - Coffee Addict

It's been a while since I last posted my rambling thoughts.. a lot of things has been going on with my crazy life lately... and lot of things has been keeping me occupied.

Oh well I travelled with my officemates at Cebu and Bohol (mmm my first time in Visayas) and it was so very much worth it. One of the nice and unforgettable events I had while in Cebu and Bohol was having "cups" of hot, cold, iced (what else ba??) coffee at COFFEE TALK.

COFFEE TALK is owned by one of our office's crew... ey I am not being biased here. They really have the best coffee in the country, as in so yummy and at so affordable price.

If ever you are gonna visit Cebu, Coffee Talk is located at Robinson's and in Bohol it can be found at ... sorry forgot the Mall's name, I guess it sounds like "City Mall." Coffee shop's ambiance was better in Bohol. Their staff are really nice. Aside from their coffee, they also offer my another favourite pasta - Carbonara!!! mmm yummy yummy as well, also their sandwiches and bfast meals. Too bad was not able to take pictures.

In conclussion, though pretty obvious in my narration :P having cups of coffee at Coffee Talk from Manila to Cebu/Bohol is worth repeating and repeating! love love their coffee...

Thrifted Zara Shoes

Got a pair of ZARA four-inch heel (yes it's four-inch!!!) shoes from an Ukay-ukay shop at Pasong Tirad, Makati. However, the price was not too cheap..... but because I really need to have black shoes with heels, and it's in super good conditon got it for Php 500.00 (a bit pricey mmm.. though i would say it's still a steal), buying Zara shoes even on sale would still cost me more than 2k.

It's a stylish patent leather shoes with wooden design heels.
I wore it today at the office and it was very comfortable..no blisters..mmm and i plan to use it again tomorrow!

Favourites at Plato Platina

One of the best restaurants in Metro Manila is Plato Platina. I frequent this place together with my officemates. I would always order either their Linguini Seafood Stroganoff ( it has squid, mussels, clams & shrimps in cream sauce) or their carbonara (with crunchy bacon). So so yummy!!! And their freshly baked bread.... mmm I usually request for the bread to be served while waiting for our order and would always ask for more =)

Dining at Plato Platina is not complete without having their "Lava Cake" as dessert.. I tell you their food plus their cozy ambiance is too addicting...

Yummiest Mango Cheese Cake!!!

It was love at first bite. I met this yummy cake when I was still working at Intramuros, Manila way back in 2001. Since then I have never stopped drooling over this yummiest mango cheese cake. Its fresh mango toppings is so irresistible, never mind the calories, it's not too sweet, tastes just right. This is really so delicious and yet so affordable!

The other Saturday Husband and I had dinner at Cafe Ilang Ilang at Manila Hotel and we were so lucky there was still a large mango cheese cake available for take-out though we did not call for reservation. It's available in two sized - large cake is being sold at P950.00, while the medium sized is P750.00, and can also be bought by slice.Too bad, Cafe Ilang- lang does not deliver, but really this cake is worth all the gas and distance =)

Burberry London Body/Shoulder Bag fr UK UK

Just last Wednesday, 01.07.209 8pm when husband and I were on our way home from buying groceries from Puregold-Makati, I saw this Ukay-Ukay store at 30% discount near Pasong Tirad St., Makati, I asked my dearest husband if he could stop the car and give me 10-minutes to check some bargains. And much to my surprised, he gave me the "thumbs-up" :D. I immediately get-off and quickly checked some of the Ukay-ukay store's bags and clothes since 10minutes is 10minutes. Soon as I saw this burberry bag, I held on to it and never let go.

It's in almost new condition, with no damages whatsoever, except for some pen marks at the back part of the bag which was easily washed-off with alcohol, thanks goodness. Got this for only P200.00, originally priced at P380.00 ofcourse with some tawad.Soon as i got home, I cleaned it with soap, water, pledge and sprayed it with Lysol to disinfect. And used it the following day!!!

Aside from this pretty burberry bag, i also got a Burberry plain blue longsleeve and Black Fendi Handbag :) both in very good condition!!!

Longchamp Bag from UK :)

Let me share with you some of my branded bags found at Ukay-Ukay for such a bargain price. Bought this medium-sized Longchamp bag for only P120.00, it was actually priced at P220.00 and i haggled and haggled til Manong gave-up and gave it to me at P120.00 heheeh. seems I have a gift when it comes to making tawad. I told him the bag is too simple and doubtful if it will be bought.

I usually use this bag when i have a lot of kikay stuffs to carry and when not im not in the mood to dress up. Or when i go malling or doing my grocery in shorts or mini skirts. Use this also sometimes in the office.

Im so happy I got this bag!!!
